Mr. Horne’s ESL Class Blog 2006-2007

Contained within these pages is the writing of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ESL students from Mr. Horne’s class at Central Middle School. In their blogs students will talk about themselves, speak their minds, and comment about the world around them. While writing, students will also learn important reading, writing and syndication skills that will benefit them in this digital world. We aim to follow a set of rules to maintain the quality of our blog. Please comment on student’s blogs, but in doing so, please help us maintain the academic nature of this project.

Three thing you need to know to survive at Central are:
1) Do not talk back to Mr. Horne and be nice to him.
2) Do not come late to class and be on time
3) Do not be in ZAP because it is not fun.

The best thing I did this yaer was to have and be with my friends.

If I could do it over again I would pay attention more and turn in my homework.

Hi, my name is Jose. Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1) Turn in all work so you won’t have any Fs.
2) Do not get the terchers mad.
3) Be prepared for all your classes.

The best thing I did this year was going to Skate City.

If I could do it over again, I would turn in all my homework.

Hi my name is Jose. I am going to tell you about how to survive at Central. One thing is to turn all your homework in. The second thing is to never ever talk back to a teacher. Don’t get in ISS because you won’t get to go to fild trips.

The best thing I did this year was making new friends.

If I could do it over agian, I would pay more attention and turn more home work in. That’s what you should do.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1) You have to do your work and homework so you don’t go to zap.
2) Don’t lose your books because at the end of the year you won’t be able to do the activities.
3) Wear apropiate clothes because you might get a loaner.

The best thing I did this year was playing the Wii in Mr. Horne’s class.

If I could do it all over again, I would turn in all of my work and homework.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1. You must be prepared for class.
2. Be on time for class.
3. Turn in your homework on time.

The best thing I did this year was making new friends and being nice to the teacher.

If I could do it over again, I would turn all my homework in and make new friends.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1)The best thing is to eat at school.
2)The next thing is not taking back to other teachers.
3)Then you can eat good food at school and you get a break when you are at school.

The best thing I did this year was playing the Wii, because it was fun playing with Mr. Horne.

If I could do it over again, I would get good grades and not get into much trouble.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1.Do not get in fight.
2.Do not argue with the teacher.
3.Do not make the teachers mad.

The best thing I did this year was when we played Wii because I prefer to play Wii than work.

If I could do it over again, I would play Wii again because it’s better than work.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:
1. Do not get Ms. Jackson mad, because you will get 15 minites of after school detention and you will have to clean in the bathroom and other classes.
2.Don’t get too many referrals or you will get sent to alternative.
3.Don’t get Ms. Thompson mad or you will get a referral.

The best thing I did this year was not getting any referrals.

If I could do it over again, I would get in more trouble more often, becuase it will be more fun.

Three things you need to know to survive at Central are:

1)Don’t get in a lot of fights and if you do you will see the consequences.
2)Don’t argue with any teacher, especially with Mr.Neil.
3)Don’t get a lot of referrals, because you will end up in Mr. Kelso’s office which is in ISS. You would not be able to go to any field trip or go swimming during the quarters.

The best thing I did this year was going to Skate City. Skate City is really fun. We play a lot of games and you will spend alot of money. There’s a lot of food.

If I could do it over again, I would go to Skate City.
